My 2015 Year in Review
As I reflect on 2015, I realize it has been a year of a lot of transitions. We moved back to Phoenix and slowly settled back into our lives here. I reconnected with friends and former colleagues. We explored some of the fun things to do around the valley with toddlers and visited some of the great nature Arizona has to offer.
Some other major milestones for 2015 were that my kids started daycare, my baby girl Gigi turned one, and Rocco is no longer in diapers (YES!). There were many moments when I missed my life before kids, but then they gave me a hug, or sang a song in their little broken English, and every challenge of motherhood felt worth it.
Another major change in 2015 was that I started a new full-time job, which allows me to travel to a lot of fun places (Paris, London, Dublin, New York, Montreal!). Traveling is amazing but bittersweet because it means I have to leave my kids for extended periods of time. 2016 will bring a lot more travel, so I am very lucky to have a husband who supports my professional career (and this blog — shout out to Jade for all his work on the graphics and web design!)
I will be spending the next week with my sister, nephew and parents, who are visiting from the midwest. I’m looking forward to a lot of quality time with family and checking out some of the great Christmas lights around the valley. I will also be celebrating my 9th wedding anniversary next week, with my birthday right around the corner.
I wish you and your loved ones a very happy holiday season. Thank you for reading my 2015 year in review and spending some of your day visiting Posh In Progress. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
