So what do you think of our new look? I can hardly believe Posh in Progress turned three last week. Wow, how quickly three years goes by! What started as a hobby to share my guide to sensible style, has evolved into a fledgling business that we hope to continue to grow.

I initially started the blog as a creative outlet and place for me to share my thoughts and life as a new mom. It has always been important to me to keep my sense of self amongst the craziness of life as a new mom. I wouldn’t change motherhood for the world, but I also think it’s important women don’t lose themselves completely as moms, which is why I started Posh in Progress.

Since the beginning, I’ve always focused heavily on fashion and style because I truly believe it matters how we present ourselves to the world. Some people think fashion is superficial, which I can understand. But it’s not superficial as much as it is about showing the world I care about and take pride in myself. I think it matters that I consistently try to put my best self out there.

I’ve also continued to share my favorite recipes (baked goods!), while trying new things outside of my comfort zone (hello Thai peanut tofu!). Every now and then, I also share parenting stories as a way to vent and hopefully show some of the realities of motherhood a lot of people don’t talk about.

As I move into the next year, I plan to continue sharing my passion for fashion, food and family, while also continuing to share travel, beauty, and other random stuff with you each month.
