Crystal Statement Necklace Trend

By far, my favorite fashion accessory is a crystal statement necklace. Awhile back, I talked about statement necklaces and why they are so versatile. A chunky or shiny or truly eye-catching necklace is still my go-to accessory because it instantly changes the whole vibe of my outfit. I might wear the same black dress every couple weeks, but it suddenly feels different and new depending on which necklace I pair with it.

If you haven’t already embraced the statement necklace trend, I think you need to give it a try. Seriously, go to the mall in a plain gray, white or black t-shirt and start trying on some bold necklaces. You will quickly see how different your outfit is, even a basic t, depending on which necklace you choose.

Another thing I love about the statement necklace trend—you can, but don’t have to spend a lot to get a really great piece. Case in point– the two necklaces I chose for this post. No doubt the Shourouk necklace is gorgeous, but the Cara necklace is also very pretty at less than a tenth of the cost.

The Shourouk necklace features Swarovski crystals, multi-colored brass, faux pearls and beaded enameled stones, which accounts for some of the cost difference. The Cara necklace is goldtone plated with glass crystals. No matter which one you choose, either necklace would be the perfect addition to any outfit. Try pairing it with a striped t-shirt or your basic chambray shirt for a touch of glamour.
