Christmas Margarita: How to Make this Festive Holiday Cocktail + KTLA Appearance

It’s holiday entertaining time, so I wanted to try some new cocktail recipes. Next Monday, I will be on KTLA sharing some of my favorite holiday drinks, appetizers, and dessert recipes. (In case you missed my other KTLA appearances 1; 2). One of the recipes I’m going to share is this cranberry and pomegranate margarita.

This Christmas margarita is definitely going to be one of my new holiday favorites. Margaritas are one of my favorite cocktails. I especially love a classic margarita, but also love trying other varieties, like this Doralto and this mango margarita recipe

Although I love those recipes, I wanted to try one that felt more like the holidays. Christmas margaritas are definitely a festive way to celebrate the holiday season and they look so pretty too! This Christmas Margarita recipe is oh-so Christmas-y because it uses some of the classic holiday flavors, like cranberry and pomegranate. It also looks holiday-ready with cranberries and rosemary sprigs for decoration. I also love the little icy touch I added with sugar.

To create the icy effect, I used corn syrup and then rolled it in sugar. Although I didn’t plan on the corn syrup to drip down, I actually love how it turned out. It almost looks like icicles. I also added a lime circle since there is lime juice in the recipe and it adds a little more green against the red. This holiday margarita is really easy to make, as are most margaritas. If you like holiday drinks with tequila, this is the one for you. If you’re not really a fan of tequila, I’m sharing some other holiday drink recipes below.
