How to Make This Delicious Baked Brie with Garlic

Stacey shares a delicious and simple recipe for baked brie with garlic. She shows how to decorate the baked brie for fall using puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Brie cheese (rind on)
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 egg
  • Tablespoon of water
  • Fresh Rosemary and Thyme (optional)
  • Crackers and veggies to serve

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly flour the work surface and unroll one sheet of puff pastry. Gently roll out the pastry to diminish the creases.
  2. Place half the garlic in the center of the puff pastry and top with the brie round (rind on). Top the other side of the brie with the remaining garlic. Fold puff pastry over the brie in a circular motion.
  3. Once all puff pastry is covering the brie, create an egg wash by beating one egg with one tablespoon of water.
  4. Brush the egg wash all over the puff pastry to help seal it. Turn the puff pastry over and brush the top of the pastry.
  5. To create the leaves, use any excess pastry. Using a knife, cut out a leaf shape approximately 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. I used three little leaves. Attach the leaves on the top of the puff pastry and egg wash the leaves too.
  6. Bake for 20 -25 minutes, until golden brown. Serve warm on a platter surrounded by fresh rosemary and thyme and crackers and/or veggies.
