Here are 12 Red Floral Maxi Dresses Under $60

By Stacey Freeman Leave a Comment

The weather in LA lately has been quite warm. We were in the 80s the last week, so it’s definitely time to break out the spring and summer clothes. I love wearing maxi dresses because they are so easy to wear. They breathe and flow so well. I found this red floral print maxi for under $30, so I decided I wanted to share some of my favorite red floral maxi dresses with you.

Although you can’t quite tell in this photo, this maxi dress is super light-weight and almost sheer. The lightweight nature is perfect for spring and summer in LA. I personally love this print because it is floral but there are also vertical lines in the dress which is really elongating.

To style this look, I decided to add some strappy brown leather heels for height. When you’re wearing a maxi, it’s a must to wear wedges or heels. I personally think flats do not look that great with maxi dresses, because I think they make people look weighed down.

I also added a boho saddle bag that I think looks so perfect with maxi dresses. It can be worn cross-body, on your arm, or you can grip the bar. This exact bag is sold out, but I linked a very similar one (and same brand) above.

To finish off the look, I added some simple chandelier earrings and some fun sunglasses. It feels like a perfect boho chic spring or summer look for running errands or having brunch with my girlfriends.

What is your biggest insecurity? . For all of you What is your biggest insecurity?
.
For all of you who have commented on my confidence, it will surprise you to know I’ve actually been insecure about my figure most of my life. I grew up in the era when straight, thin bodies were idolized, and I didn’t see my curvy shape in media.
.
Although it might seem crazy to say, I actually thank @kimkardashian for making hourglass figures like mine cool again. I constantly see women on TikTok paying thousands of dollars to get the curves I’ve tried to hide most of my life. Seeing more diversity in body types in media and advertising has definitely helped me to feel more secure in my shape.
.
Over the last couple of years, I’ve shifted the way I style my body too. I used to wear a lot of a-line dresses and fuller cuts. Now, I always try to show off my shape. I’m still self-conscious a lot of the time, but I’m working on it and I’m learning to love my shape a little more everyday.

MLK weekend vibes💙. It has been so warm in LA w MLK weekend vibes💙. It has been so warm in LA we spent all day at the beach yesterday. Today, we are taking in local parks and another gorgeous day. But, my heart is heavy with the state of our world.
.
Today, as we celebrate an important figure in the fight for Black equality, I’m choosing not to share one of his famous quotes because that’s too easy. Simply sharing his words without considering or sharing my perspective about the current state of our country feels disingenuous at best.
.
I’ve struggled with how to talk about the insurrection because I still find it all so shocking. And the fact that I am shocked is a problem. That our country can be so divided that it’s difficult for me to even fathom how people could participate in this divisiveness.
.
The insurrection happened on my birthday, as I flew to Puerto Vallarta. Landing in Mexico and learning about what was happening felt surreal. I still can’t wrap my head around it, honestly. What scares me the most is the hate. The idolizing of a white supremacist ideology is terrifying. It terrifies me for my children. For their safety. For their lives.
.
I understand that a lot of hate is spurred by fear, lack of understanding and discomfort. Today, I hope we can all think about how to be more open to thoughts and perspectives that our different than our own. Be more accepting of people who look different, who have different cultures and life experiences. Today, I hope we can all collectively try to confront every human interaction from a place of love and kindness. If we all spent a little more time considering the other person’s life or story, I think we’d have a lot more peace and happiness. #mlk #mlkday #mlkweekend
