One of the hottest trends for fall is ponchos for women. I’m absolutely loving the cozy comfort of throwing a poncho on when the days get a little chillier. A poncho is the perfect replacement for a fall jacket or a chunky sweater.

This is the first time I’ve really looked seriously at ponchos for women because I received one in my Box of Style. I love the burgundy color and the black tassels on my poncho. If you’re like me, you might worry that a poncho will add too much bulk and make you look bigger. I totally understand that fear. The reason I belted the poncho is because if I don’t, it really does just look like I’m wearing a blanket. Only really thin girls can pull that off, in my opinion. For curvy girls, adding a belt gives the poncho the definition that it needs. It helps to show my shape a little bit, while still feeling easy.

In terms of styling, I think ponchos look great with tight pants – either skinny jeans or leggings. You can wear any top underneath, but I prefer a close-fitting one. I actually wore a tight white tank. If you’d like to try a poncho out this fall, here are a few of my favorites.
