I had no idea I could make delicious and healthy peach frozen yogurt popsicles with only four ingredients. I’m a major smoothy fan already, but because our son is suddenly on a popsicle kick, I wanted to create some healthy versions to give him.
My son just had his first popsicle after swim lessons a few weeks ago. He loved it so much that he regularly asks us for one. He calls them “pospickles”, which is so darn cute. Honestly, we probably ask him if he wants one, just so we can hear him say “pospickle” again.
Since it is stone fruit season, I’ve been making a lot of fruity recipes lately. Did you try this peach green tea or grilled apricot salad recipe?
We already had several peaches laying around, I came up with this easy four-ingredient healthy peach frozen yogurt popsicle recipe. The recipe is super simple to make. The final product is very healthy and my kids love eating them for snacks.
Peach Frozen Yogurt Popsicles
3-4 fresh peaches
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt (I used full-fat)
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon (optional or to taste)
Slice peaches and remove pits. We left the skin on our peaches to add color and texture to the popsicles. If you don’t like the skin, you can remove it.
Add the peaches, vanilla yogurt, vanilla extract and cinnamon to a blender and puree until smooth.
Pour the peach and yogurt mixture into the popsicle molds (I used these) to the top. Insert popsicles sticks. Freeze for 4-6 hours, until completely firm.
Note: In a rush? Buy some dry ice and freeze the popsicles in half the time!
