3 Fun Reasons Why Your Wardrobe Desperately Needs a Double-Breasted Blazer
For my day job as a university administrator, I used to dress in professional clothes every day. Blazers were a wardrobe staple for me. I recently purged a lot of the items in my closet. I realized I don’t have much workwear left that I actually like. Given how long its been since I wore most of the items (I’ve been working from home since 2018), I figured it was time for a refresher. Enter this chic camel-colored double-breasted blazer. If you’ve been thinking about adding a new blazer to your wardrobe, here are a few reasons I love this camel double-breasted blazer.

1. Neutral Colors Go with Everything
To be honest with you, I generally don’t buy camel-colored clothing. It’s not the most flattering with my skin tone and hair color. But, there is something so chic, classic, and timeless about the color. It really does work so well with nearly everything. I also love how camel looks equally great with navy, black, white, and brown. It is a truly versatile and classic color. If you buy a neutral color double-breasted blazer, it will go with pretty much everything.
2. You Can Dress it Up or Dress it Down
I had two distinct ideas of how I wanted to style this double-breasted blazer. My first thought was to wear a leather skirt with a cropped hoodie and tall black boots and then wear this blazer over the top. It would give the stuffier blazer an edgier look. I chose to style it with these ripped dad jeans, some suede block heels, and a cut-out turtleneck. I wanted the ivory near my face because it is a much better color on me and brightens my face since the camel doesn’t do me any favors. This is just two ways you can style this blazer. It is a piece that looks really great with flats and jeans, or equally great with slacks or even a maxi dress. The styling options are endless.
3. A Double Breasted Blazer is Timeless
There is no doubt that a camel blazer like this will be in fashion forever. This style has stood the test of time and both men and women have been wearing these for a very long time. This is a piece you could choose to invest a little more in because you can feel confident it will be in fashion. For a lot of my clothes, I tend to spend less. I choose to invest more money in shoes and bags. Every now and then, I will invest more on a coat or jacket, because they do last so much longer. I have a leather biker jacket (similar) I got in Paris back in 2016 that is still one of my favorite pieces. This Theory trench, from 2018, is another piece I’m glad I invested in. They are both so classic and will forever be in style, just like this blazer.
