Practical or Posh: White Pearl Purses at 3 Different Prices
When I started Posh in Progress back in 2013, I wanted to share my love of fashion, but also make it affordable. I do believe in buying high-end pieces from time to time. Personally, I think there is value in having quality pieces. However, a lot of the time, you can find completely affordable pieces that look just like name brand items, at a much more affordable price tag. I called this series where I compare affordable vs. high-end items as practical or posh. Today, I’m sharing three different white pearl purses at three different price points.
It’s amazing to see the price difference between these three purses. The posh version is done by Shrimps and comes in at $725. Shockingly, I found mine on Amazon. It looks so very similar and it comes in under $40. The Miuco one from Amazon is so cute because it has that little dangling add-on, but is still very similar at just under $70.
The time I’m most apt to spend a lot on a high-end bag is when I know it’s a piece I could use for many many years. The best example I have is my classic black quilted Chanel bag. It is a bag that has been around since the 1950s. Even after all these years, it is still one of the most coveted bags and is totally worth the investment. It is one of the only items in my closet that has actually appreciated over time. The bag is worth several thousand dollars more than when I first bought it more than a decade ago.
So what do you think of these faux pearl purses? Do you like this trend? And can you tell the difference between the high end and the low-end bags?
