Unless you’ve been hiding under the bed, I bet you know that the Nordstrom anniversary sale is on now. The last week it’s just been for those people with Nordstrom credit cards, but today, the Nordstrom semi annual sale is open to the public.

When the sale first launched last Friday, I snagged some really great pieces, especially items for fall. Although we are still in the midst of summer and I’m gearing up for a trip to Puerto Vallarta next month, I’ve got fall on my mind. Before we know it, it’s going to be sweater weather again, and this is the perfect time to stock up with some killer prices.

I have to say that I’m really into the sale this year. My sister and I have been texting back and forth with all of the great deals we got. We’ve even been asking each other for advice on whether we should keep something. It’s been a fun and unexpected way for us to connect, since she lives all the way in Minnesota.

One of the main reasons I got into blogging was my love of fashion. So, the Nordstrom anniversary sale is actually reconnecting me with my love of fashion and talking about fashion with these conversations with my sister. Just yesterday, she texted me a few pictures of her trying on different shoes she got during the early access to the Nordstrom semi annual sale. She asked for my feedback and I told her exactly how I though she should style them. A few minutes later I got another picture with the suggestion I had made and we both laughed. I had no idea a sale could connect us like that.
