I love the holidays for many reasons — spending time with family, decorating our tree, finding the perfect gifts for my loved-ones — but one of my absolutely favorite parts is finding and trying new Christmas cookie recipes.
This past week at work, they hosted our annual holiday coffee event. They set out trays and trays of beautifully decorated sugar cookies to go along with coffee or tea. All the gorgeously decorated cookies made me realize I’m way behind on my Christmas cookie-making.
In the past, I’ve made cookies as gifts, and I always find time to make our family’s old standbys — ginger snaps and kiss cookies. This year, I am searching for new ones to try, while still keeping some of my old favorites in mind.
Here are 10 Christmas cookie recipes that are on my must-make list this year.
1. Chocolate Crinkle
2. Egg Nog Snickerdoodles
3. Peppermint Frosted Gingerbread
4. Raspberry Almond Thumbprints
5. Italian Wedding
6. Short Bread
7. Florentine Lace
9. Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti
10. Red Velvet Thumb Prints
