Every year, it seems like a take on a new everyday mom style. Last year, it was cropped skinny pants and a blouse. This fall, I’m rocking some version of cuffed cords, booties and I always top it with a wool moto jacket.

I found this wool moto jacket and instantly fell in love with the cropped shape and all the little moto details. The reason I love adding jackets to my wardrobe is because they create instant polish. Unlike a cardigan or zip-up sweatshirt, a jacket adds structure to your frame. Having structured shoulders and all the nice seaming you find in jackets instantly pulls a look together.

How to Syle Your Wool Moto Jacket

Wool moto jackets are also great because they go with so many items in your wardrobe. I personally like to wear mine with jeans or corduroy pants. I add a little cuff to show off the booties I like to wear with them. When it comes to footwear, you could do short or flat boots, but you could also wear flats or even riding boots, if you prefer. Also, you can wear a wool moto jacket over a short dress or tunic with leggings, or even with a maxi dress. Moto jackets are ultra versatile. I love that my coat is army green because the color acts like a neutral, so it can go with everything. If you do decide to get a moto jacket, I highly encourage a neutral color like black, brown, beige, burgundy or gray. Choosing a neutral color and the constantly on-trend shape will allow you to get a ton of wear out of the jacket.
