Being a working mom means I’m often scrambling to find a quick lunch or dinner option for my kids most days of the week. That’s why I love this easy meatball sliders recipe. It’s a quick, balanced, and kid-friendly meal I know they will love.

I can find all of the ingredients I need at my local Vons store, so the entire process is a breeze.

I make sure to get my favorite Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce, slider buns, mozzarella cheese, and pre-cooked frozen meatballs. Prego® is my go-to sauce because it is made so thick it sticks perfectly in the sliders. It’s also made of vine-ripened tomatoes and includes Italian seasoning for the best flavor that is perfect for these easy meatball sliders. You can find these ingredients at Vons, or at your local Albertsons Companies store.

To make the sliders, preheat your oven to the broil setting. Add a generous spoonful of sauce to both sides of the slider. Then add your defrosted meatballs. I used two mini meatballs per slider. Next, top the meatballs and the top of the bun with a generous sprinkle of mozzarella cheese. Once you add the cheese, broil the sliders just until the cheese is melted before the bread gets too brown.

After broiling, I like to add an additional spoonful of Prego® sauce on top of the meatballs before I place the top on. I like to serve them right out of the oven, but they actually do taste great at room temperature too. The rich Prego® sauce pairs so well with the spicy meatballs and the melty cheese. This is such an easy recipe, and I know your kids and family will like it too.
