This is Why I Love to Explore The South Bay of Los Angeles

I can’t believe I’ve already been back in southern California for two months. In some ways, it feels like just yesterday that we packed up and left Boston, and in other ways, it feels like we never left the first time (in 2014).  Although we lived in California before, Orange County is a lot different than LA. For the longest time, I had a lot of misconceptions about LA. I think I carried a lot of stereotypes from what I saw on TV. I thought everything was centered around Hollywood. Maybe some parts of the city are that way, but LA is a giant place, and I’ve already found some niches here that I absolutely love.

One of my favorite parts of the city (so far) is the south bay area. These are beachy communities I’ve started to explore, especially Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. I’m such a fan of these little communities for a few reasons. First, I completely avoid the notorious LA traffic. Second, there are so many neat little shops, gorgeous beaches, and yummy restaurants to check out.

Any time I have a bit of free time, you’ll find me driving and walking around these laid back communities. When I do go out, I always grab a Diet Coke® to take with me. Currently, I’m loving their brand new flavors, Blueberry Acai & Strawberry Guava. Diet Coke® now has 6 bold fruity flavors they’ve added to the line up. There really is a flavor for everyone and you can get them in packs or on-the-go-singles.

You can get your own Diet Coke flavors at your local Kroger stores. I’m really loving the new Strawberry Guava flavor, but I really can’t wait to try them all!

Although I’m just starting to scratch the surface of the south bay of Los Angeles, I can’t say enough how much I’m enjoying it. I had no idea I’d love it so much here. For a very long time, I thought I belonged in San Diego. Although I do adore San Diego, there is just so much to love in LA. There are so many unique areas of the city I just can’t wait to explore. If you get to LA anytime soon, you should definitely check out the south bay. There is definitely a lot to love here.
