This Cookie Gift Box Makes A Great Holiday Gift

Do you have people in your life who don’t quite make the gift giving list, but you still want to do something nice for them? Or are you heading to a holiday party and you don’t want to show up empty-handed? I have the perfect solution for you. This super quick, easy and totally thoughtful cookie gift box is your answer.

Although I personally love baking cookies at Christmas (some of my favorite recipes – Italian wedding, gingerbread crinkle, hazelnut shortbread), but I often find I just don’t have enough time to bake as much as I’d like. My solution is buying really nice store-bought cookies and fill holiday tins with lots of goodies. This cookie gift box takes about 5 minutes to put together. It’s not only fast, but it’s totally thoughtful. Everyone loves to have sweets around during the holidays. Plus, the tins are reusable, so they can regift them, or use them around their homes.

If you’d like to try making a holiday cookie gift box this season, it couldn’t be easier. Just find some holiday-themed tins or bakery boxes, some tissue paper, a nice festive assortment of cookies and other sweet goodies (I included chocolates in my tin), a ribbon, and a decorative tag for the top.

Layer the tissue paper inside the box. I used two pieces so I could fold them and create a nice square on top. Fill the tin with cookies and candies, fold the tissue paper over the top, and decorate it all with a ribbon and gift tag. I found all of these items at my local Walmart. That’s it! It couldn’t be simpler to create a cookie gift box and I promise the recipient will love it.

Happy cookie gift giving!
