How to Make This Semi-Homemade Butter Pecan Pound Cake

Do you feel crunched for time this holiday season? With all the shopping, traveling, and hosting, it can be so hard to find the time to cook meals and desserts from scratch. I’ve got you covered with this super simple butter pecan pound cake recipe.

If you don’t like to cook, or if you’re pressed for time, this butter pecan pound cake recipe is perfect for you.  The thing I love most about this recipe (besides the amazing taste) is that it seems like you put in a lot of effort to make something homemade when it really only takes a few minutes to whip up.

To make this simple butter pecan pound cake, I stopped at my local Albertsons  and picked up a classic Sara Lee® Pound Cake, along with some of my other favorite Tyson® products to get ready for the holidays (who can live without Jimmy Dean®  Bacon this time of year!) If you’re looking for other simple recipe ideas, you should also check out Sara Lee®  Apple Pie, which is made from orchard picked apples and topped with a crunchy bakery streusel. Sara Lee®  also has an amazing cheesecake that’s made with real cream cheese filling, topped with real sour cream and finished with a delicious graham cracker crust.

Once I had all my ingredients, the entire recipe took me less than 15 minutes to make. The first thing I did was slice the pound cake so the pieces could thaw while I made the butter pecan glaze. Next, I created the glaze and drizzled it on top. I would suggest you serve this recipe with either ice cream or whipped cream. It also tastes great on its own. If you prefer a dessert to look more like a centerpiece, you could drizzle the glaze over the entire cake with the pecans resting on top and then slice the cake later. The glaze will harden just slightly.

Overall, I’m excited to serve this butter pecan Sara Lee® Pound Cake recipe this holiday season. It tastes delicious and is a total time saver.  If you’d like to make it yourself, the super easy recipe is below.
