Have you started your back to school shopping yet? My kids are still in preschool, but I’m stocking up on some great back to school clothing while the deals are so good. Plus, there are so many fun fall clothing trends I want my kids to try this year.

I found a bunch of cute things on JCPenney’s website. They have a lot of great back-to-school fashion at totally affordable prices. I also find shopping online for my kids so convenient. JCPenney offers a broad range of products that are stylish and affordable. Plus, they have options for all of the hot fall clothing trends for kids.

Here are the top 7 clothing trends I’m planning on my kids trying this fall.

Top 7 Back to School Trends 2017

1. Military Green

I’m such a sucker for military green. I recently got my daughter an adorable military-inspired jacket that also has a floral print in the lining. It’s totally adorable!

2. Destructed Denim

Just like for us ladies, raw edges and deconstructed details are cool for kids this fall too. My husband might kill me if I buy my kids destructed denim, but I think it’s too cute not to try. Plus, they are probably going to end up with holes in their jeans anyway 😉

3. Preppy Vibes

It’s always on trend to look preppy for school. Khakis, striped shirts, cardigans – those will never go out of style. Although my hubby hates that I dressed my kids so preppy, I love how they look in their crisp blue striped tops and my son in his little khakis (which have an adjustable waist, by the way!)

4. Graphic Tees

Both of my kids love graphic tees. My son is partial to super heroes, dinosaurs, and trucks. My daughter loves when there are words on her shirts. I’m sure I’ll stock up on lots of tees this fall.

5. Active Wear

Just like for adults, athleisure is a major thing for kids too. Kids can go from play to school all while being comfortable in their relaxed sporty gear.

6. Feminine Details

For girls, feminine details are on trend for fall — think lace, sequin, ruffles, and embroidery. All these little details add a little elegance to everyday outfits.

7. Victorian Romance

Also for girls, touches of Victorian style are on trend for fall. Think lace, velvet, rich jewel tones, soft neutrals, and dusty rose.
