I love wearing white dresses in the summer. Every year, I add at least one or two new ones (this one has florals too). I recently found this white lace dress on sale, and I knew I had to have it. It's a coverup and a mini dress in one. I've talked about wearing cover-ups as dresses earlier this summer. This is another example of a perfect beach cover-up that also works as a summer dress. Honestly, I usually wear more casual pool coverups. But, if you're going on a fancy tropical vacation, it is definitely worth getting a few nicer cover-ups to style in the picture-worthy resort locations. {Stacey's Look: Dress; Heels (similar); Bag; Hoop Earrings, Bracelets (similar); Necklace (similar)} I was so ecstatic to find this one on sale. It's so perfect for an evening out and I'll definitely take it on my next beach vacation. The great thing about this dress is that it packs down really small and doesn't wrinkle. I also love that it has a cute tie waist with little shell details. It's hard to tell, but tied in with the tassels are mini little sea shells, which add such a fun and unexpected summer detail. To style this look, I layered on quite a bit of gold jewelry. However, all of the pieces are everyday classics, so they aren't too chunky or loud. Yet, because the dress is pretty simple, I did want to ensure there was enough gold to add some shine and visual interest. I opted for a nearly neutral bag and shoes in very light pink. Although I think I could have gone for a much more bold shoe or bag choice, I wanted to keep the look of this short white lace dress very pretty and feminine. I did have to wear a white dress underneath it since the dress is see-through. You could wear any small white cami dress or slip dress under this. If I were to wear this as a cover-up only, I would probably pair it with gold sandals like these and a cute raffia beach bag like this. It would look really great over a brightly colored suit or a white suit. Honestly, this coverup could work with any suit, as long as you adjust your accessories to match. That's one of the reasons I like wearing gold accessories in the summer because they work so well with all the different colors in my summer wardrobe.
