To be honest, I wasn't sure I liked the menswear inspired oxford trend for women. At first, I thought they were just too masculine, too clunky. The majority of the oxfords I'd seen in my Pinterest and Instagram fashion feeds were more traditional. They looked like a shoe my husband would actually wear. That just isn't my thing. I want to feel feminine and chic. The thick soled chunky oxfords I'd seen just weren't my style. My uncertainty remained, that is, until I saw these Freda Salvador oxfords. The cool fishbone black and white calf hair paired with the textured black leather is fun, unexpected and striking. Also, the silhouette is anything but clunky--they are sleek and even a touch sexy. Once I saw these Freda Savlador's, my opinion changed forever. They also inspired me to search for other oxfords. I quickly realized that oxfords can be feminine and fun, even in a classic oxford style. Add a touch of lace, a bit of metallic, studs, or a dot print, and the classic just became modern and edgy.
