Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away. I can't believe it. As most of us are planning what we're going to cook or bring to your family's dinner, it's about time you think about what to wear on Thanksgiving. If you're meeting your in-laws for the first time, or doing a less-traditional 'Friendsgiving' or hosting Thanksgiving at your place, I'm sure you want to look your best. If it's the last thing on your mind and Thanksgiving usually means stretchy pants and stains on your sweater, you might want to think about all those i-phone pics that are going to end up on Instagram or Facebook. If you could not care less what you look like on social media, that's cool (you should read my article about social media I'm posting tomorrow). In case you do want to look chic on Thanksgiving, I've put together three outfits based on three scenarios to give you an idea of what to wear to Thanksgiving dinner. My personal philosophy—it doesn’t matter where you’re going, you should always try to look your best. Being overdressed is always better than being underdressed, and you can be comfortable while still looking chic. I hope you find the three looks helpful in coming up with your outfits for Thanksgiving dinner. Hostess If you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner, your outfit is really important to set the tone for the day. If you dress nicely, you are telling your guest this is a special event. If you prefer a casual Thanksgiving, then you can certainly wear one of the other two looks that are more dressed down. I personally think the hostess should be the most dressed up, because it shows pride in yourself, your home and the meal you are presenting to your guests.
