If there was only one item I could bring with me to fashion week, I think it would be one of my best motorcycle jackets. I am obsessed with leather jackets, and specifically motorcycle jackets because they are so versatile! You can literally wear them with anything. This is the very first time I'm going to fashion week, and I am seriously so thrilled. This has been on the top of my bucket list since I started Posh in Progress in 2013. When we first conceived the blog, I made a list of 100 things I hoped to accomplish with the blog, and NYFW was up there on that list. I'll definitely be sharing the highlights from my week in New York in a later post. I decided to share this look today because it is one of the looks I packed for the trip and here's why. Motorcycle Jackets Go with Everything. Seriously, they look fantastic with jeans, but equally good with a dress. When I first envisioned wearing it with a slip dress, I wasn't sure it would work. I have to be honest though, I absolutely love this look. I really love the hard edges and heaviness of the jacket against the ultra feminine dress underneath. Motorcycle Jackets are Classic Pieces. They never go out of style. I'm pretty sure they've been around long before I was born and they'll be cool forever. If you get one that's a classic color, like brown, black or grey, I'm sure it will have years of life ahead of it. I currently own a black, a grey and a red motorcycle jacket. That's how much I love them. I just love how versatile they are and the fact that I know they are a worthy investment. Motorcycle Jackets Look Cool. There's no denying it, motorcycle jackets just look cool. They give your outfit instant edge. They are just plain sexy.
