I got this black and gold dress before COVID happened. I definitely bought it with going out in mind. Its the type of dress I'd wear to a nice dinner, or to a wedding. It's fancy, but not that fancy. It can definitely be worn for a night out or wedding, but it can also be dressed down for work with a long blazer. {Stacey's Look: dress; heels (similar; similar); earrings; sunglasses} I chose to style it as if I were going out or to a wedding. I always like to wear strappy heels because they are really elongating for the leg line. Plus, these are great ones because they are pretty low so they are still super easy to walk in. I do love super high heels, but most of the time I prefer a mid or low heel because they are more practical. Especially for a wedding or a date, you don't want to be so uncomfortable walking that you actually don't participate. For styling, I also decided to wear my hair in a high bun because I think it is an elegant way to style your hair for a night out. Also, having my hair up really makes the dress the star of the look. I threw on some chunky gold earrings for a bit of shine. To finish the look, I wore bright red lipstick, which I think always is great for nighttime. Since I won't be going out anytime soon, I also think this dress can totally fit into my work wardrobe. By adding a long black blazer and pumps, or even a white blazer with nudes pumps, this can be a great workday look. I'm looking forward to the day I can finally wear this out.
