I also keep an eye on shopstyle.com where I use their search feature to look for everything at discount prices. If you haven’t used this search site before, simply type in the item you’re looking for (i.e. swimsuit) and then you can adjust the prices, sizes, colors, brands, to narrow your search. I used this tool to find a lot of great suits under $50 and it’s how I found that J. Crew suit at under $30!

Why Buy A New Suit Every Year?

I usually don’t advocate for buying things just for the sake of it, but I do believe that investing in a new swimsuit every year is a smart idea. Why? Because swimsuits are one of those things that get worn out with exposure to the sun and chlorine, especially if you wear it often enough.

I plan to spend a lot of time in the pool this summer, as Rocco just took his first round of swim lessons and I want to keep up his momentum.  Plus, we need to take better advantage of the fact that we have a pool in our backyard.

Last summer, we didn’t spend much time in there because the kids were so young and unable to even float on their own in life jackets. This summer, I plan to embrace the convenience and make good use of the pool. I hope to even help them improve on their swimming so they will be closer to self-sufficient by the end of the summer.

Why Wear Full Coverage Swimwear?

Generally, I prefer a one-piece these days. I’m in my 30’s and I’m usually chasing little kids around, so I need the extra coverage. But one pieces aren’t just for moms or grannies. One piece suits have come so far in the style department. They are super stylish, modern, and fun–-even sexy sometimes. With all the cool cutouts, deep v necks and other interesting designs, I find one piece swimsuits way more flattering, convenient and stylish that bikinis.
