Vests have remained one of my favorite trends since last fall, when I first featured them. I love vests because they make great transition pieces for cooler weather, without the bulk of a winter coat. In Phoenix, I rarely need to wear anything heavier than a fall jacket. Throwing a vest over a sweater is a great way to add style and a bit of warmth when I need it.
If you’ve followed my fashion posts in the past, you’ll know I have a thing for army green AND for military-inspired fashion. So, when I saw this green military vest (on sale!), I had to scoop it up.
I love wearing this green military vest with jeans, but it also looks super cute paired with a sweater dress or cropped black pants. For this look, I chose to wear a lace shirt underneath and a large layered necklace, to add feminine touches to the tougher vest. I wore my favorite sueded brown jeans and suede and leather booties for a neutral military vibe.
