Athleisure is here to stay. I remember talking to a friend recently about how casual Americans dress compared to other parts of the world. (We are headed to South America soon, and the vibe is much dressier down there). But even if other places require a lot more dressed-up looks, here in the U.S., people love their denim and, even more casual, the standard black leggings or sweats. Lately, I’ve seen more and more women choosing to wear a matching activewear set, so I thought it was time I try one for myself.
The Perfect Matching Activewear Set
I was gifted this specific set and I didn’t even plan to post about it. But then I authentically loved the fit and material of this outfit so much that I actually wanted to share it with you. I’ve worn a lot of leggings in my day. My favorite brand has almost always been Athleta, but when I tried on this set, I fell in love. They didn’t lie when they said the material is buttery soft. I also love the crisscross front of the leggings. The only thing is, I wish these leggings had a pocket or two on the sides as my beloved Athleta ones do.
The top is also next-level. The fit of the activewear top is just perfect. It is compressing while still flattering. It has a shelf bra and cups built in. I can definitely work out in the top but I also love the v-neck and strap width. I just can’t say enough about this matching activewear set. How to Style Activewear
Once you find an activewear set you love, have you thought about styling it? Well, clearly you can wear these to the gym, but I think people like to wear them in. more casual ways too. Although I do love the comfort of athleisure, I always try to elevate the casual look a bit. How do I do that? For me, I can dress up any casual look with the right accessories, jackets, and shoes. You can change a look so completely just by adding the right layer. I recently got this matching activewear set. It’s definitely a classic set in black. I absolutely love the fit of this outfit, but it still feels like gym wear to me. Yet, it’s really easy to make it running errands or casual brunch look with the right layers. Adding this faux-suede jacket, cross-body fanny pack and cute sneakers really elevate the, otherwise extremely casual, look.
