A midi skirt, if you aren’t familiar, is much longer than knee length, but not full-length either. Midi skirts tend to hit just below the knee to around mid-calf. The benefits of the slip skirt are many, but for me, the fit is a major benefit. I like the midi slip skirt best with a body-conscious top and sky-high strappy heels, to balance the full length of the skirt. And a bulky top wouldn’t work that well since the skirt is figure-hugging. It’s important to match the sleekness.

I love this silver metallic skirt for several reasons. First, slip skirts are so easy to wear! This one is slip-on, so there are no buttons or zippers. It is really forgiving during the holidays when a lot of our weights fluctuate a bit. I also love the way that this skirt floats away from the body for a perfect figure-flattering a-line shape.

This silver metallic skirt is also very versatile. It looks great dressed up. You could also wear it super casually with a t-shirt and white sneakers. I chose to style it with a sleeveless blouse and a cropped black jacket. My look is semi-dressed up but definitely perfect for a happy hour or evening event. I chose a little black clutch and my favorite strappy black sandals to complete the look.
