Trendy Fall Coats Under $300

trendy-fall-coats-under-300-mainWith so many trendy fall coats under $300, it’s hard to decided on which style to buy. Whether you’re into capes, military-inspiredmixed media, or robe coats, almost any style goes. If you’re searching for the hottest trend, then you’ll get a robe style coat, which is extra popular this fall. If you like classic, you might opt for a trench, a car coat or a lady-like style.

It’s refreshing to see so many options out there this year; it gives you lots of options when searching for a coat that will work best for your body type.

If you are petite, shorter styles are generally more flattering. Look for coats that hit somewhere between your hips and above your knee. Coats that hit at the hip or low waist will give you the longest leg line. Anything below the knee will only make you look shorter. If you do opt for a longer length, make sure to pair it with heels or heeled boots to add some height.

For taller gals, you can pull off pretty much any length–even the full length seen on the runways at Céline and Lanvin.

For fuller figured gals, I suggest you look for a waist defining coat. You want to show off your curves, but need some definition to outline  your shape. If you choose something too boxy, shapeless or puffy, you will look larger than you are. Curvier girls, I generally think puffer styles will flatter you the least, unless it is belted or fits you perfectly. Choose a coat that nips you in at the waist and floats away from your hips. The lady-like style or the robe coat above would both be good choices.
