However, it was a pain to use the DVD player because I had to change the DVDs from the front seat, which can be challenging as a passenger. Needless to say, getting a KET has solved a lot of those travel-related challenges. My kids and I both love our KET because it offers so many options for my kids. Our KET has so many parental controls and filters so that I am sure my kids are always getting age-appropriate content. You can set time limits, age limits, create educational goals, privacy settings, which apps they can view, ways to earn more time, etc. You can really tailor a KET to meet your personal preferences so you can decide what’s best for your children. When we first got our KETs, I downloaded these apps that are age-appropriate for my kids. Since this is their first time having their own tablet, they absolutely love the content I’ve shown them so far. I decided to set a pretty strict time limit each day, but I do allow them to earn more time by focusing on reading. However, on trips, I’m a lot more lenient with their screen time. Although, I still try to prioritize the educational activities over the entertainment, whenever I can.
