Easter

These Peep cupcakes with homemade chocolate egg toppers are so adorable and easy to make right at home. If you want to try making Peeps cupcakes, I’m sharing how I made these robin blue eggshells and ivory eggshells at home. I decided not to make homemade cupcakes, but if you do want to make Easter peep cupcakes from scratch, I’m sharing some recipe ideas too.

I’m really excited my kids are old enough to start understanding holidays. We did a little Easter egg hunt last year, but Gigi was still so young, she just sat on the grass and ate the snacks inside one of the eggs. This year, I’m planning to test out some Easter craft ideas for kids and maybe even try dying eggs, along with another backyard Easter egg hunt.

Easter is a little over a month away. Now that my kids are a little older, I’m going to put a little more effort in to making it fun for them. I already started thinking about ways I could decorate, like with this little Easter Bunny candy jar. Last year, I found a bunch of creative uses for PEEPs. This year, I’m searching for cute Easter desserts recipes to try.

Yay! Easter is almost here! How are you celebrating this weekend? I’m planning to take our kids to a couple different Easter egg hunts and I’m planning a small one in our backyard too. I also hope to find some time to try out some Easter crafts and maybe even a recipe or two. If you’re still looking for fun DIY Easter crafts and recipes to try out, check out some of my favorites below. Happy Easter everyone!

My favorite candy bar, by far, is Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. But, I actually love the holiday-shaped Reese’s even more. I don’t play favorites, I equally love the eggs, trees, pumpkins, and hearts. But there is something that I just love about the holiday-shaped Reese’s even more than the originals. That’s why I decided to make this copycat Reese’s eggs recipe. These homemade peanut butter eggs are so easy to make and almost as good as the original.

How do you celebrate Easter? Last year was the first time that my kids really ‘got’ Easter. I coordinated a small little Easter egg hunt in the backyard and filled their eggs with little toys. Now that they’re another year older, I figured it was time to up my decorating game. I created this simple bunny candy jar that’s a quick and easy DIY Easter decor idea anyone can create at home.
