Casual Style

What are your go-to casual style for fall? Mine is bascially the same in the fall and winter since it never gets too cold in SoCal. You will see me most days (since I work from home) and weekend rocking some combination of jeans, a t-shirt and a jacket. If you need some help creating the perfect casual style for fall, here are a few of my tips to get you there.

I love wearing sweatshirts. I’d wear one every day if I had the choice. But finding cute sweatshirts for women can sometimes be a challenge. The thing about sweatshirts is that you have to find ones that are cut specially for women. Fit is really everything when it comes to wearing sweatshirts. If they are too bulky, they will look sloppy.

If you had told me I’d be rocking combat boots in 2020 I would have laughed at you. I haven’t worn Doc Martens since high school. In high school, they were the shoes. I literally owned 5 pairs, at least. And I loved them so much. I had the shoe kind, the boot kind, and even the sandal kind. They were my look.

If there is one fashion trend that I absolutely love right now, it’s matching sweatsuits for women. The last time I personally remember sweatsuits being this popular, I was in elementary school. Sure, there’s been periods where Adidas pants or Nike pants are super trendy. I definitely had two pairs of Adidas pants in college that were on constant rotation. But the monochromatic, totally matching sweatsuits I haven’t rocked since I was a little girl.

Probably the best fashion outcome of the pandemic has been the reemergence of matching sweat suits and all of the other leisurewear that is so popular right now. To be honest, I haven’t worn jeans in a year. Yes, skinny jeans are out and wide leg and mom jeans are majorly in. However, I still would rather wear sweats or these super comfortable Brooklyn joggers I’ve been living in.

About five months ago, I met the owner of PKLR sport. I had no idea what PKLR stood for. He explained PKLR stands for ‘pickler’. So what is a pickler you ask? Someone who plays pickleball. Prior to meeting him, I had never even heard the term pickleball, I knew nothing of the sport, and I didn’t even know pickleball clothing was a thing.
