Appetizer

The Super Bowl is less than a week away. We aren’t going to a party this year, since it’s a school night, but I plan to create a few fun recipes to celebrate the big game. For inspiration, I pulled together 12 party appetizers that are bite-size and perfect to bring to or serve at a Super Bowl party.

We’re a football family. I’m from Green Bay, WI – otherwise known as Titletown, USA – and my husband played big time college football. With training camp only a week away, I’m starting to think about tailgating. I love tailgating. Tailgating with my friends before a big game are some of my favorite memories. In Wisconsin, we always have brats and lots of cheese on-hand, but the standard tailgating fare gets old.

Growing up in Wisconsin, eating cheese was part of my daily diet (good or bad). On a regular basis, my mom would purchase the spreadable cheeses – my favorite was the wine cheese flavor with the cheddar being a close second. I recently had a chance to make a recipe featuring my childhood favorite brand (Kaukauna is only 20 minutes from my hometown), so I came up with this super easy cheddar apple crostini recipe.

Cauliflower is one of my favorite vegetables. I love it roasted, I love it steamed, and I love it as cauliflower cheddar bites and cauliflower breadsticks. There are so many amazing things you can do with cauliflower to lighten up a meal or make it low-carb. That’s why I decided to try making this cauliflower hummus recipe.

One of my all-time favorite Italian appetizers is a simple, yet classic Caprese. I absolutely love fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. It is such a simple combination, but pure perfection. I didn’t think it could get better, and then it did. This bruschetta Caprese is even better than the all-time classic.

When it comes to irresistible party dips, few can rival the creamy allure of a good queso. And if you’re searching for the best white queso recipe that’s sure to be a hit at any gathering, you’ve come to the right place. In this blog post, I’ll guide you through crafting the perfect homemade white queso dip using the luscious Havarti cheese and zesty pico de gallo.

There are some recipes that look much more impressive than they actually are. These Mini Caramelized Onion and Gruyère Quiches fall into that category. They are elegant, satisfying, and completely approachable for any level of home cook. Also, they taste like something you would order in a French café but can be made with just a few ingredients in under an hour.
