Floral Bubble Coat: How to Style a Puffer Jacket for Women

I bought this neon floral bubble coat to bring with me to NYFW, but then I decided not to attend this year. Believe it or not, mornings and evenings in LA can get cold enough when you need a warm bubble jacket like this. I absolutely love this jacket for several reasons, the print being the number one reason. I think the floral pattern is so fun. It gives a nod to spring while still being the perfect winter jacket.

How to Style a Bubble Jacket

The tricky thing about a bubble jacket for women is how to style it. If you pair it with the wrong thing, you might end up looking like a marshmallow or the Michelin man. It is imperative you choose slimmer pieces to balance out the fullness in the upper part of your body. I personally think that a bubble coat looks best paired with slim-fitting pants. I chose to style mine with tattered greyish-black jeans that have some grommet details at the waist and a little nod to the 80s with a few pleats.

For my footwear, I added a suede bootie with a heel to elongate my leg line, which adds overall height to the look. I kept my top very simple and chose a long-sleeve v-neck. V-necks also elongate the body and draw attention up toward the face. Because the women’s bubble jacket adds width up top, I’m adding all these little touches to counteract the fullness of the top. I actually chose not to add many accessories, except for my everyday gold necklace, earrings and rings. Given the loudness of the jacket, I didn’t think I needed to add any additional accessories. If you do want to add some accessories, I would opt for some dangly earrings with my current look. The jacket is the star of this fit, so I don’t think you need to add too much else to complete the. look.

Where to Buy a Bubble Jacket

My bubble jacket is actually. under $30! You don’t have to spend a lot to get a cute jacket that also will keep you warm this winter. I personally love being able to change up my jackets pretty regularly, which is why I definitely opt for more statement jackets. Of course, you can’t go wrong with buying a classic puffer, like this one. This style has been around for years and will be around for a long time. If you want to invest in a higher-quality coat, I’d go for one like this. This brand also has really good reviews.

As I said above, you don’t have to spend a lot to get a cute puffer jacket this winter. If you’re looking for something cute and affordable, check out the picks below that are all under $100. If you’re looking for other winter fashion posts, click here.
