Pretzel Rolo Reindeer: How to Make this Easy Holiday Treat

How cute are these pretzel Rolo reindeer? They are super simple to make and only take four ingredients. You’ll need red M&M’s, candy eyes, mini pretzels, and Rolos. If you can’t find the red and green M&Ms you could use a regular bag of M&Ms and use the red and brown M&Ms so only some of the Rolo pretzel reindeer look like Rudolph.

The only thing I want to mention is that you need the mini pretzels. I initially bought this style of pretzels, and they were too large. Although I suppose you could use the larger size, the smaller ones work perfectly with the Rolos when they melt. They are the exact same size as the mini pretzels once they are melted.

How to Make these Pretzel Rolo Reindeer

To make these pretzel reindeer with Rolo, you start out by preheating your oven to 250 degrees. Once your oven is preheated, line a baking sheet with parchment paper, for easy cleaning. Next, lay out a dozen mini pretzels on the pan. Top each pretzel with a Rolo and put in the oven for approximately 5 minutes, until the candy is melted.

While the pretzels topped with Rolos are in the oven, cut a dozen pretzels in half. I used a sharp knife and pressed gently to break the pretzels into two pieces. Some of them shattered into even more pieces, so I did have some extra pretzels laying around. The halved pretzels are antlers.

Next, separate the red and green M&Ms. The red M&Ms will be used for the nose. As I mentioned above, if you can’t find red and green M&Ms, you can use a regular bag of M&Ms and use both brown and red M&Ms for the noses of your Rolo pretzel reindeer. Once the candy melts, remove your Rolo pretzel candy from the oven. At this point, you can add the pretzel antlers to each side of the Rolos. Then, add the candy eyes and nose to each of the Rolos.

That’s it! It’s so simple to make these reindeer Rolo pretzels. As you can imagine, this is a very kid-friendly recipe. When my kids saw these Rolo pretzel reindeer, they were so excited. They thought they were so adorable. Plus, they taste so good. They are the perfect combination of sweet and salty. The kids absolutely loved them. Make sure they harden completely before serving. Once the reindeer pretzels with Rolos have hardened completely, it’s actually really easy to store these in an airtight container so you can easily bring them to a party or even give them as a holiday treat to someone else. They are a perfect addition to your holiday cookie platter. I hope you’ll try making these adorable Rolo reindeer. They are so cute and really tasty too!
