Why This Red and Black Bodycon Dress is so Perfect for the Holidays

I recently got this gorgeous red and black bodycon dress and I think it’s perfect for a holiday party. I chose this dress because I love the bodycon fit and also the ruffle bottom that flares out. It’s also really fun that it has ruffles right at the sleeve.

I’m wearing a size L in this dress, so it’s definitely stretchy and hugs my body perfectly. I do wish this dress was available in an XL because the sleeves are just a bit short for me. But the good thing about a long sleeve dress is that you can push up the sleeves or even pull off a tea-length sleeve.

I also love some of the other details in this dress, including a cute keyhole back. The print is also so fun. It almost looks like a mix between a floral print and an animal print. The red color isn’t too vibrant. It’s actually a bit more muted than a cherry red.

I think this is a great bodycon dress for the holidays because it’s modern, form-fitting, and stylish, while not being so traditional for the holidays. I get tired of all of the super obvious holiday dresses, like red or green velvet or lace. Also, I love that this is a very sophisticated bodycon dress. Sometimes I think bodycon dresses can be overtly sexy to the point of almost trashy. I’m much more a fan of subtle sexiness.

If you’re not sure a bodycon dress is for you, I’m here to tell you to give them a try. Believe me, I wasn’t alway comfortable in bodycon dresses either, but I’ve really learned to embrace my figure. These style of dresses can look good, even on larger body types.
