A Cropped V-Neck Sweater: 3 Impressive Reasons You Need One This Fall

I haven’t worn many sweaters sine 2019. With the pandemic, I opted for sweatshirts instead. Since I hardly left the house, I didn’t feel much of a need to dress in anything besides joggers and sweatshirts. Now that I’m spending a lot more time outside of my house, I figured it was time to update my fall wardrobe. I recently got this ultra-comfortable cropped v neck sweater and I know it is going to be one of my favorite fall staples. If you’re thinking about adding some new sweaters to your fall wardrobe, here are some reasons I think you need to add a cropped v neck sweater to your shopping list.

3 Reasons You Need a Cropped V-Neck Sweater

1. V-Neck Sweaters are Versatile

The first reason I love v-neck sweaters is that they are very versatile and go with pretty much anything. I love to wear them with mom jeans for a casual look, as I styled it here. I also love to throw a cropped v-neck over a dress. It works well over almost any length dress. The cropped length of the sweater really helps to accentuate your waistline and is universally flattering. This sweater is also casual enough to wear on the weekends, but nice enough that you could wear it to work. It is a piece that really does work for so many occasions.

2. They Look More Put Together Than Sweatshirts

I know I’ve personally gotten in the bad habit of wearing what appears to be pjs out of the house. I’ve gotten so comfortable wearing sweats almost everywhere, but that’s a habit I want to break. I still want to be comfortable, but I want to look a bit more put together. That’s why I think this cropped v-neck sweater is perfect. It is very comfortable, super easy to wear, but looks so much nicer than a sweatshirt. Of course, there are nicer sweatshirts – like this embellished one – but generally, sweaters do give off a more put-together vibe.

3. They Will Last for Years

Sweaters can last a very long time. As long as you take care of them, you can keep them for several years. The one I’m wearing is weighty and quality material, so I know that it will last a long time. I would suggest you either store your sweaters in a sweater box, or fold them on a shelf. If those aren’t options for you, hang your sweater over the middle of the hanger so the shoulders don’t get stretched out. I promise you this cropped v-neck sweater will literally be a staple in your closet for years to come.
