A fun fashion trend that emerged in the fall and is still going strong is the two-toned clothing, or often called spliced. I think it’s a super fun trend because it’s so unexpected. Although I do think it will stick around this spring and summer, this is one of those trends that will be fleeting, I think. That’s why I like to find affordable pieces that allow me to participate in the trend, without breaking the bank. So I decided I wanted to share affordable and cute spliced jackets. I especially love the jacket I’m wearing because it is great for work but also looks fantastic with jeans. It hits just above the knees which is such a flattering length to wear with a body con dress, like I am, or to pair with faux leather leggings. The jacket can be dressed up or dressed down depending on how you style it. If you wore it with jeans, you could add chunky sneakers for a super casual vibe. Or you can dress it up for work, as I have.
This spliced jacket is super lightweight, which makes it great for layering over chunkier pieces, like the wool sweater dress I’m wearing. I also love the gold button details on the jacket, which match so well with the gold on my bag. I love the combination of gold and black. It’s such a classic combination that looks so chic for work or more dressed up occasions.
