This is How to Style a Yellow Romper for Work

Real talk ladies – for the majority of my life, I’ve hidden my legs. I specifically hid my legs from the knee up because of cellulite and a general dislike for my chubby knees. I’d wear knee length or midi-length dresses because I do like my calves, but I’d never wear shorts.

Something shifted for me in the last year. I realized just how hard I’ve been on myself and my body. I still don’t love my legs, but I’m learning to appreciate them more every day. The body positive movement and seeing other curvy girls on social media has definitely helped me to feel more accepting of my flaws.

The older I get, the more I realize that I am my worst critic and no one else would be nearly as critical as I am.

When I first spotted this yellow romper, I almost walked past it. On a whim, I decided to pick it up. The spring-y color, the buttons and the sweetheart neckline caught my attention.

When I got home and tried it on, I wasn’t sure if it was for me. Although it has cute short sleeves, it felt like too much of one note. However, when I threw on a white blazer, it felt very much like me.

This is an outfit I could totally envision wearing to work on a hot summer day, or maybe even for brunch with my girlfriends. I really love the buttons down the front and the color is just so nice for spring and summer.

If you’re on the hunt for a yellow romper this spring, here are some of my favorites. So what do you think of rompers, in general, and specifically a yellow one?
