Everything You Need to Know about the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year
The 2017 Pantone color of the year is called Greenery. When I found this floral dress, I didn’t even realize it was the Pantone color of the year. I actually chose it because I just loved the bold print against the spring-green color. If you haven’t jumped on the green color wagon yet, I’m sharing everything you need to know about the 2017 Pantone color of the year and why you should try it for yourself.
The 2017 Pantone Color Symbolizes a Fresh Start
With all the political turmoil last year, 2017 brings a fresh start and the Greenery color is exactly that. The mix of the yellow-green shade evokes the color of spring, a time of renewal. The color symbolizes the lushness of nature and signals a need to breathe and reinvigorate.
Greenery is Trans-Seasonal
Green isn’t just for Christmas. The greenery color is what they call ‘trans-seasonal’. It is a very versatile shade that can work with many other color combinations. If you check out the 10 different palette color combinations here, you can see there are tons of different ways to incorporate the greenery Pantone color into your 2017 wardrobe. I have a feeling we’ll see this shade across fashion, beauty and graphic design this year.

The Color is Nature’s Neutral
The greenery color acts like a neutral. Believe it or not, it can go with a lot of different things. I already wear army green as a neutral and I’m excited to try wearing greenery as a neutral too. In our tech-heavy world, a lot of us are trying to find ways to reconnect with nature and the greenery color is an easy way to express that sense of nature and connect to the natural world through your clothing.
