I love wearing gem tones because they work really well on my olivey complexion. When I saw this top, I was excited to try it on because I really love lace, and I liked how the lack mock neck top had the scalloped detail around the neckline.

Once I got it on, I was even more excited to see the added detail of the buttons down the back. I was slightly leery of wearing a mock turtleneck, as I generally look better in v-necks to balance out  my long torso. Even with the higher neck, the short sleeves helped provide some balance.

I chose to wear this top with a black t-shirt underneath, but you could also wear it with a cami in black, white or ivory. I paired the lace mock neck top with cropped black dress pants, and accessorized with suede mules and chandelier earrings.

This look is great for work, but I could also wear this top out for dinner with some dark denim and a leather jacket.
