Spa Body Treatments

Every girl deserves to indulge in spa body treatments, massages or facials every now and then. If you’re a busy mom like me, you totally understand how precious (and difficult) it is to get some alone time.

A spa day is probably my favorite way to relax. There is just something so tranquil about the entire experience — from changing into the plush robe, to taking a leisurely shower, to spending some time in the steam room or sitting by the pool.

My friends at Wigwam Red Door Spa invited me to receive the Brandied Pear and Marshmallow Melt Body Treatment. This was my first time receiving a body treatment, as I usually opt for a massage when I do sneak away to a spa. I was super excited that my first treatment body treatment was so fancy–using pear-infused brandy and sea salt scrub, and a marshamallow shea butter moisturizer.

When I first arrived, I was led into the women’s changing room where I was given a locker with a plush robe and slippers inside. After changing, I was escorted to the second floor into a very large private room that included two massage beds, a shower, bath tube and an outdoor patio.

To begin, I layed on my stomach and Paricia massaged the sea salt scrub over my entire body. Once she was done, I took a shower to remove the scrub. After the shower, she then massaged my body using the sweet-smelling marshmallow shea butter. I couldn’t quite put my finger on the scent, but it was pleasant and reminded me of summer. (When I got home, my husband said I smelled like hersey’s kisses — I’ll take it!).

After the body treatment was complete, I spent some time exploring the rest of the spa–I sat in the steam room, enjoyed some time lounging by the pool, and took a long, hot shower.

I had a really fabulous time at the Red Door Spa, and the body treatment I received was relaxing and ultra-hydrating — my skin felt so soft and smelled fantastic. If you have the opportunity to try out spa body treatments, I would highly recommend the brandied pear and marshmallow melt treatment at Red Door.
