Wrap Dresses Under $100

A quality wrap dress is one of my wardrobe staples, especially in the summer. I own a black jersey one with a giant beige palm leaves print that I’ve owned for at least 5 years, if not closer to a decade. It’s one of those pieces I choose to wear on days when I want something comfortable, but that still looks very put together and always chic.

I recently realized my spring/summer dress collection is in pretty bad shape, so I was super excited to find this 4. Collective wrap dress at Anthropologie for under $100 (sorry friends, I know it’s listed as full-price right now–I must have snagged a store return or something)!

Wrap dresses are a classic staple in American sportswear. You might have heard Diane Von Furstenberg invented the wrap dress, but the wrap dress wiki (seriously, it has one), says wrap dresses have been around since at least the 1930’s, and DVF just made them better using lightweight jersey.

The fact that wrap dresses have been around for close to 100 years speaks to their ease and classic style, while still remaining chic after all these years. It is my favorite dress style to wear because the wrap and tie at the waist cinches you in at the smallest part, giving you a tiny waistline and creating that coveted hourglass shape.

If you haven’t tried a wrap dress or haven’t bought one in awhile, do it! You’re missing out on style, comfort, and the perfect thing to pack for your summer vacation—if it’s jersey, it won’t wrinkle and can be worn over your swimsuit, for day-time excursions, or dressed up for a fancy dinner.

I’ve pulled some of my current favorite wrap dresses under $100 to show you what’s out there for summer and how you can find great deals even on a classic piece like a wrap dress.
