Pastel Polka Dot Dress

This is my first summer back in Phoenix after a five-year hiatus. I recently realized my standard work outfit that worked great in California – even in summer – just won’t work in Phoenix. Looking more closely at my wardrobe, I own way too many fall and spring-friendly cropped pants and blouses and not nearly enough summery dresses.

I found this lavender ASOS dress (on sale!), and even though I wasn’t sure about the off-the-shoulder top, I thought it might be fun for summer. I love this pastel polka dot dress because it is super versatile. It looks great on its own for date night, and is totally work-friendly with a little cropped-cardigan thrown over the top.

The dress is ultra-comfortable in a stretchy non-restrictive material, but still looks put together for work. It can be easily dressed up with heels and jewelry, but could also be worn with flats for a more casual look.

A pastel polka dot dress is a great summer piece because it is feminine, comfortable and easily dressed up or down. I’ve pulled several other pastel polka dot dresses I love, if you’re looking for a fun new dress for summer.
