Black and White Printed Pants

My new job requires me to dress up a lot more than previous jobs. My go-to work uniform tends to be slim-fitting cropped pants, booties, and some blouse/cardigan combination. When I saw these cropped black and white printed pants, I knew the fit would work (as I already own two pairs of the same pants in other colors), but was unsure about the print.
I’ve never owned patterned pants before, and I was sure they would only make my curvy hips look wider and thighs look bigger. Even with my preconceptions, I brought them into the fitting room. What? I couldn’t believe it. They were totally flattering, and surprisingly, slimming.

I would have bet you money that a printed pant would not be slimming, but in the case of these black and white printed pants, I was dead wrong. Since purchasing these pants, I wear them almost weekly, and I always feel really great in them. My husband even commented on how much he likes them — he normally doesn’t pay much attention to what I’m wearing.
I love black and white printed pants because they are flattering, slimming and fashion-forward. They are unexpected, not your standard black or gray work pants, but something a bit more fun.
If you’re afraid to try a printed pant like I was, just try them! I am so glad I finally broke out of my shell to try a patterned pant. If you’re gun-shy, start with a subtle print, like tiny polka dots or thin stripes. Here are a few more black and white pairs I really love for your spring work wardrobe.
Do you wear printed pants? What do you think of my look?
