Monthly Best Beauty Finds
I’ve been searching for a powder with SPF for awhile. I’d heard great things about Peter Thomas Roth’s SPF powder, but I didn’t like the applicator brush and prefer a pressed powder. I was pretty happy when I spotted this Physician’s Formula SPF pressed powder for under $15.
Excited about my finding, I thought it would be fun to share my monthly best beauty finds. This month, I’m sharing an SPF powder, perfect for year round sun protection, a fun bright pink nail color, to get a jump start on spring, and a brightening inner eye liner to diminish redness.
Physicians Formula Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder SPF 30 – Translucent
Why I love it? Although this powder says it’s translucent, it gives me a little bronzed effect and helps me control my notoriously shiny forehead. Plus, it has SPF 30, so it’s the perfect powder to put on mid-day before I head out of the office for lunch. I add an extra layer of sun protection while controlling my shine.
Essie Madison Ave-Hue
Why I love it? The bubblegum pink hue is so fun, and screams springtime. I also love that this color has the slightest glimmer to it. I wouldn’t call it sparkles exactly, but teeny tiny shimmering particles for extra shine. I do love Essie polishes (did you see my negative space manicure?) because they glide on smoothly, don’t clump, and the colors are vibrant and saturated enough so two thin coats does the trick.
Pixi By Petra Eye Bright Liner – No. 1 Nude
Why I love it? I will try anything that conceals my dark under eye circles and tones down my redness. I’ve tried a lot of under eye products over the last two years, and found several I really like (one of my favorites is Josie Maran). I decided to try this Pixi eye liner because its ultra-fine tip can reach areas I can’t usually get with my finger or the thick Josie Maran Crayon tip. I love this Pixi Eye Bright Liner because it reaches the inner rim of my eye when it’s red, and lines my under eye for some added brightness. The No. 1 Nude color is slightly lighter than my natural skin tone so it adds brightness and draws more attention to my eyes, while concealing redness.
What are your current favorite beauty products I need to try?
