Stacey’s Christmas Wish List
My Christmas wish list almost wrote itself this year. I’ve been eyeing most of these items for awhile now. One of my favorite things about being a blogger is discovering brands and sharing what I love with my readers. It makes me feel like all my internet window shopping serves a purpose. Of all the things I’ve loved this year, here are the eight things at the very top of my Christmas wish list.
M2Malletier Handbag
I’ve been obsessed with M2Malletier handbags for awhile now. I believe fashion is art, and their handbags are true works of art. I love the geometric shapes many of their bags take, and the needle handle is so striking against the rich leathers and animal skins they use. The masterful craftsmanship of these bags almost makes them too pretty to carry, almost.
Vita Fede Earring Jacket
I’m not very creative with my earrings. I usually wear the same pair of diamond studs. But I’m really dying for an earring jacket or two to better accessorize my ears. Vita Fede makes some really beautiful (and even edgy) earring jackets. I love the idea of wearing just one earring jacket on one ear for some unexpected visual interest near my face, or wearing one on each ear to take my plain ole’ studs to a funkier and fresher level.
Vitamix Blender
I’ve been wanting a Vitamix Blender ever since I watched my Whole Foods rep whip up soups and smoothies in a matter of minutes, using whole fruits and vegetables, no cutting required. I eat fairly well, but could definitely fit more produce into my life. The idea of a Vitamix is so appealing because it seems to make eating healthy even easier.
Freda Salvador Boots
I found Freda Salvador on Instagram a few months back, and I’ve been following them ever since. I love all of their boots and menswear inspired oxfords because they use such nice leather and interesting materials to give their line an edge. It is hard to choose just one pair of their boots and shoes to add to my Christmas list, as I’d be happy with just about any pair, but I love their MAN short boots because they would literally go with everything and would last me for years. I could see wearing them with slacks for work or skinny jeans and a leather jacket for a night out.
Anine Bing Moto Leather Jacket
Finding the perfect leather jacket has become something like finding the perfect jeans, elusive. I recently came across the Annie Bing leather moto jacket and I think it might finally be the perfect leather jacket. It’s edgy, well constructed, but really gorgeous with rich quilting and silver zippers, buttons and buckles galore. I have yet to see it in person, but ogling it on their website has become something of a past-time for me.
Zoe Chicco Diamond Necklace
I’ve been on the hunt for perfect delicate jewelry for awhile, but hadn’t quite found just what I was looking for. I want a diamond necklace that is simple, understated, and elegant, but not like everyone else’s. When I saw this Zoe Chicco diamond necklace, I was struck by it’s simplicity and elegance. I love that it has five tiny diamonds, rather than the single diamond necklace like you see everywhere. It is understated and would be a great layering piece, but would also stand well alone. Just like my diamond stud earrings, it’s the kind of necklace I would never take off, because it goes with everything.
Restoration Hardware Leather Sofa
When we moved back to Phoenix, we went on a massive couch hunt. We settled on a pretty basic, slightly mid-century modern style brown couch. With two little kids, we wanted something that wouldn’t show dirt and could hold up to infant and toddler abuse. What we really wanted was a plus brown leather couch like this one from Restoration Hardware. My husband and I have long since been thinking about when is the right time to invest in a quality couch like this Collins sofa. I love how it has clean lines and looks modern, but is ultra comfortable and crafted from rich brown leather. I am certain this couch would last for many years and blend with any décor we decided to try.
Kitchen Aid Mixer
If you read my blog, you know I love to bake. I have featured more cookies and baked goods on this blog than anything else, and I’ve made all of them with the old school standard hand mixer. It works OK, except for when you add the dry ingredients — beating even on the lowest speed, flour flies everywhere. A Kitchen Aid Mixer has been on my wish list for a long time, ever since I watched the Food Network chefs make pie crusts, cookies, and frostings with ease. I can’t wait for the day that one of these pretty mixers sits on my kitchen counter, just tempting me to try another dessert recipe.
