Now that I live in Boston, I actually have to think about fall clothing. Living in Phoenix, I didn't break sweaters until November at the earliest. But our first week in Boston, it was only in the 60s (40s in the AM!), so let's just say I need to hurry up and get some new fall clothing. There are a lot of hot fall 2017 fashion trends I'd like to try, but right now I'm looking for classics with a twist. Below I share 6 fall fashion trends, some of my favorite finds under $50 and I've also teamed up with some bloggers to give away a $650 Amazon gift card - check out the bottom of the post to enter! 6 Fall 2017 Fashion Trends 1. Colors For Fall For fall, I noticed some of the major colors include Bordeaux (maroon, ox blood, whatever you want to call it), blush (any version of ultra light pink, almost nude - like my sweater in the pic above) and rust (like this skirt I found). I already adore blush and Bordeaux, so I own several pieces in those shades. I'm still on the fence about the rust color, but I'm up for trying it out since I do love bright orange. 2. Bell Sleeves One trend that immediately stuck out while I was looking for great finds under $50 is the bell sleeves. I'm obsessed with this J. Crew top, and I'm definitely planning on trying both the red and the blue version. 3. Velvet Velvet is also hot again this fall. Honestly, I haven't worn a velvet dress since my freshman year high school dance (man, the 90s are back!), but I will rock velvet heels or even a blazer. 4. Ripped Jeans Ripped jeans are still majorly on trend this fall. The more frayed the better. It's not just denim pants this fall either. I saw denim jackets that are majorly frayed this season too. 5. Faux Leather While I was searching for fall 2017 fashion finds under $50, I noticed a lot of pleather -- pants, backpacks, purses, shoes -- you name it. I'm still on the fence about faux leather (I wrote about why vegan leather is offensive), but I do know that it is majorly affordable and can still be very stylish if you're a fan. 6. One Shoulder and Cold Shoulder A trend continuing this fall, and morphing a bit, is the off-the-shoulder trend that has been so hot the last year. Instead of off-shoulder, this fall it's all about the one shoulder and the cold shoulder. The cold shoulder style has cut outs with an in-tact neckline.
