Are you looking for a really simple holiday dessert that's as cute as it is tasty? Then you need to make these Santa hat brownies. Seriously, it doesn't get easier than this. I am always a proponent of sharing semi-homemade recipes, especially during the holidays when people are very short on time. I actually shared this recipe on KTLA the other day, and everyone, including the hosts and crew, loved these brownie Santa hats. To make these Santa hat brownie bites, you only need three ingredients. You will need store-bought brownie bites, fresh strawberries, and some type of frosting or whipped cream. To assemble these strawberry Santa hat brownie bites, all you need to do is clean and cut the tops off of your strawberries. Then, you can lay out your brownie bites on a platter. Next, you can add frosting to the top of each brownie. Next, you will top each brownie with a strawberry. To finish the Santa hat brownies with strawberries, simply add a little bit more frosting to the top of the brownie. It is that simple to make these Christmas brownie bites. I personally think these strawberry Santa hat brownies turned out so adorable. The combination of the cream with the chocolate and strawberries all pairs perfectly together. Although I generally don't share my recipe with many people outside of my family, I'm so glad the KTLA team loved this recipe. It was so fun to watch them enjoy the brownie bites after my segment was over. If you're looking for a super easy and tasty holiday dessert recipe, I'm telling you, this is the one. Assembly Tip I only have one word of caution. I did struggle a bit with the icing I used the second time around. The first time I made these, the icing was thicker and held up to the weight of the strawberries. The second time I made these (at KTLA) the icing was thinner and some of the berries slid off. Make sure to use a thicker frosting and also refrigerate the brownies with frosting as long as possible before placing the strawberries on top. Another tip would be to make sure your strawberries are as dry as possible before you place them on top of the brownies with icing. This will help ensure the strawberries don't slide off too. Santa Hat Brownies Ingredients: Store-bought brownie bites (or you can make homemade and cut-out rounds) Frosting (I used this) Strawberries Directions: Clean and cut green tops off of the strawberries. Add frosting to the top of each of the brownie bites. Top each brownie with a cut strawberry. Add a dollop of frosting to each of the tops of the strawberries. Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
