Lately, I happen upon fashion trends rather than actually know about them when they first happen. I've always been a huge fan of lace (see here, here, and here). But lately, I've been really into the lace bell sleeve top trend. I didn't even realize how much I liked it until I came home with this top, which looked very similar to this top I also owned. (I've got a bit of a problem with buy duplicates too). I love fashion. One of the reasons I wanted to start this blog way back in 2013 was because I love trying out new trends, knowing what's hot and helping my friends with style tips (they ask). But over the last year or two, I've had a lot less time to think about fashion (you know, a full-time job, full-time blog, and two kids under 6 has kept me pretty busy - oh, and moving from Cali to Phoenix and then to Boston). {Stacey's Look: Loft Blouse (on sale!); Ann Taylor Cami; Chanel Clutch; Banana Republic Ring; Tom Ford Sunglasses; Clinique Lipstick) The combination of lace and bell sleeves is a fun trend for a couple reasons. The main reason I like the trend so much is that I personally think wearing a cami underneath a see-through lace top is really sexy. However, bell sleeves can sometimes create a lot of weight to the upper body. By having see-through lace, the bell sleeves don't feel so heavy, but you still get the interesting flow. Lace tops also are great transition pieces that can work equally well in the winter, spring or even summer since they are sheer. I will definitely find ways to wear mine year round.
