Memorial Day fashion, but make it chic. I'm definitely a fan of wearing dresses that are special holiday-appropriate, without wearing something that screams the American flag. This striped cold shoulder dress is the perfect way to nod to the holiday without screaming 'Merica. There are lots of reasons I love a cold shoulder dress for spring and summer, but here are 3 reasons. 1. Affordable Cold Shoulder Dress Can you believe my dress is only $10? I was shocked when I saw the price tag. I was a little less shocked when I felt the material and saw the shape of the dress. I had to add a belt to give me some definition, otherwise, it was just a pretty large A-line dress with no shape. However, the cold shoulder mini dress does have a built-in style with shoulder cutouts. Even with the very boxy shape, the shoulders give it instant style. Perfect for Summer Cold Shoulder dresses are perfect for summer because they are lightweight and show off a summery glow without being too revealing. I personally love that I can wear a standard bra with this dress. Strapless bras just don't work well on me because I have a larger chest and they just don't offer enough support. I love that this dress has small straps so I can wear a bra but still hide the bra straps. My dress is made of a very lightweight material which is super airy for summer. I added a belt to accentuate the waist, but I could definitely keep it even flowier without the belt. To style the look, I added a raffia clutch and some simple white heels for a summery feel. I also added some fun raffia earrings to complete the look. 3. This Cold Shoulder Dress is Versatile The other thing I love about this dress is that it makes the perfect beach cover-up too. It's the type of dress that really can work for a casual summer day or wear to the beach for a little bit of extra style. The dress is made of such a light weight material, it definitely would work for hot summer days. It wrinkles a bit, but because its so easy to wear, it could definitely work as a cover-up too. It is definitely a cold shoulder mini dress, it is definitely short, so I do think I'd be more likely to wear it to the beach than out and about. It's quite short, so it might be more comfortable with a suit under it. I think it would look so cute with a simple white one piece or bikini since it has the blue and white stripe.
